Water Conservation in Pend Oreille Summer 2015
Water Conservation in Pend Oreille Summer 2015
Well, we had a relatively mild winter and only a small amount of snow fell in the mountains and valleys of Pend Oreille which leads us to water conservation over the summer this year in 2015.
Governor Jay Inslee has declared drought around Washington State due to this winter’s low snow-pack. The Newport City Administration has implement extraordinary water conservation measures.
Lawn watering is permitted as follows:
Odd numbered addresses may water on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Even numbered addresses may water on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
Spot watering is encouraged on Sunday.
Lastly, watering will be much more effect if done before 10:00 A.M. or after 6:00 P.M. The City of Newport asks that watering not be done during these times.
We thank you for your support in conserving water this year in 2015.
