Newport Provides – National Christmas Tree

Washington State to provide Washington DC the National Christmas Tree.

On November 1, 2013 The Christmas Tree is set to arrive in Newport, Washington. The tree was selected in the Newport Ranger District of the Colville National Forest.

The ‘People’s Tree’ will be cut down Friday, November 1 and is scheduled to arrive in Downtown Newport at 2:30 p.m. There will be family friendly events in Newport that afternoon and evening as a send off celebration for the U.S. Capital Christmas Tree.

Across the state of Washington individuals are busy designing the ornaments that will adorn the tree this 2013 Holiday Season. The decorations are being made with the symbol of  “Sharing Washington’s Good Nature”
